This large academy based in the heart of Newham is currently looking for an experienced Chemistry Teacher to join their team. The successful Head Teacher together with his very forward thinking Senior Leadership Team are fully focused on achieving the best possible educational outcomes for their pupils. There is a big emphasis on ensuring that pupils achieve their goals by making sure that they are taught by skilled specialist teachers who really know their subjects. Staff are encouraged to plan together and this will involve both teaching and support staff affiliated with each department. There are high expectations of teaching staff to ensure that the lessons they are delivering are of a good standard, as the more engaging the lesson, the more likely the children will behave well.

This is an opportunity for you to join a supportive, hardworking and friendly Chemistry faculty where you will be encouraged to continue your own professional development. You will be joining a team of 15, with varied experience and science specialisms. The Chemistry department is very well resourced and there is a group of Science Technicians who support the teaching staff effectively. The Chemistry department work closely together to encourage students to develop an interest in and enjoyment of Chemistry. The Science department are looking for a Chemistry Teacher to join their team who shares the same desire to succeed. They are looking to recruit a Chemistry Teacher on a temp to perm basis and the position is to start in September.
To be considered for this Science (Chemistry) role you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- PGCE in Chemistry
- Experience of teaching Chemistry KS3 – KS5
- The desire to become part of a fantastic and supportive team
- Delivered good/outstanding lessons
