A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified Drama Teacher to join an Outstanding Academy in London, to start ASAP.
Having reached their full cohort, this Academy was carefully designed with a particular philosophy in mind, with facilities and resources to support a rich and diverse curriculum. The Headteacher joined initially as Vice Principal and has recently moved into headship. Together with the successful Senior Leadership Team, they are committed to providing an inspirational and life-enhancing educational experience for all students who attend the Academy.
Having been graded Outstanding in their most recent Ofsted, it is stated that ‘The achievement of students is outstanding. Their behaviour in lessons is exemplary and students make rapid and sustained progress in many subjects.’
Here lies the opportunity to not only join a fantastic school but also to become an integral part of a very successful Drama department. The team are looking for an experienced or newly qualified Drama Teacher to join their team from January. You will join a large department of teaching and support staff, with varying levels of experience. The team works closely together to ensure that all students are given the support and guidance to reach their individual goals. There is a range of extra-curricular activities run throughout the week that you would participate in organising and running, and many students get involved and enjoy taking part. The role is to start in January and the school are looking to recruit a Drama Teacher who is able to commit for the remainder of the academic year.
To be considered for this Drama Teacher role you must have:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– PGCE in Drama
– Experience of teaching Drama to KS3 – KS5
– The desire to become part of and lead a fantastic and supportive team
– Delivered good/outstanding lessons
