Job description

A PPA Teacher is required for the remainder of the academic year (ASAP start) at a primary school in Newham/Barking.More details

A Primary Teacher with at least 2 years’ of UK teaching experience is required on a full time basis at a 2.5 form primary school in Newham. The role is due to start immediately and is likely to continue into the new academic year on a permanent contract for the right candidate. Cover will predominantly involve work across Key Stage 2 however there are specialist teachers for PE, Music and the Arts so PPA lessons will largely involve the core subjects. Behaviour is well managed at the school and there are clear processes in place for marking. Initiative and adaptability are required given many classes will be based off timetable (school trips etc).

This is a popular, large and progressive school situated over a large site in Newham. The school has recently been inspected as ‘Good’ and the Executive Head Teacher has placed a large emphasis on staff wellbeing, sensible planning and marking structures and making it an enjoyable place to work.

Located near a major tube station the school also has onsite parking available and is accessible from Newham, Barking, Tower Hamlets and parts of Redbridge.

The school is part of a larger Trust in Newham and there is scope for career progression and growth across the schools.
