We have an amazing opportunity for a Primary Teacher to work with a forward-thinking and savvy school in South West London commencing in September.
We are currently supporting a two-form entry Primary School in Wandsworth who have a fantastic Teaching opportunity available for the right person. With multiple Teaching Assistant supports in every class, they pride themselves on working as a united peer group of Teachers and Leadership. With both Inclusion and Language Units within the school, they have opportunities specialising in both areas of these additional needs.
They are currently seeking an experienced Teacher to join them from September. You will be teaching a small group of 12 Year 5/6 students – all with ECHPs with a primary need of Speech, Language and Communication Needs. The school would prefer someone with SEND experience for this role but would consider a mainstream teacher with a strong interest in SEND looking to move into the sector. The classes cover the same topics as their mainstream peers so all trips, assemblies and outside visitors are shared. The curriculum is adapted in many ways, but at the heart of the unit is a desire to give the children improved communication skills. Makaton signing is used to support new vocabulary, therefore previous experience and/or training would be highly regarded, however not essential.
