A private special needs school in Central London (Zone 1) is welcoming applications from experienced Math teachers to work with pupils in Key Stages 2 and 3.

A Math Teacher is required to deliver outstanding lessons to pupils in Key Stages 2 and 3. Classes are capped at 10 pupils and are well supported with teaching assistants and specialist staff. A previous background delivering engaging and exciting math lessons to students in Years 4 to 9 in UK classrooms is essential.

This is a rare opportunity to join a vibrant and well-run SEN school in Central London that caters to students with specific learning needs. Students are supported by an experienced and talented team of specialist staff who work in close unison to ensure a tailored education. This includes speech and language therapists and physiotherapists. Students have access to an exciting curriculum and class sizes are capped at 12. Staff receive a free hot lunch every day and the school is within walking distance of major tube and rail stations in Zone 1 (no parking available).

A background in SEN is essential and further qualifications or training in dyslexia or dyspraxia are highly desirable. For Secondary Teachers looking to apply, a specialism in Math is advantageous. For Primary applicants, experience teaching KS2 is essential, preferably Year 6.

The Head Teacher is looking for a teacher who has the ability to respond to different student needs at short notice, adapt lesson plans and have a warm but firm classroom presence. The Head Teacher is looking for someone who can initially start on a short-term basis and then transition into a long-term/permanent role in the new year. This is generally a very stable staff with very few vacancies during the school year however due to increasing staff sickness, the Head is looking to take on a new member of the teaching team.
