This large, oversubscribed secondary school in the borough of Waltham Forest, are looking to recruit an experienced SEN TA to start from September 2019. The school has consistently been in the top 3 percent nationally for student progress, has outstanding management and a culture of wisdom, care and trust throughout the school.
Graded ‘Good’ across the board by Ofsted with an ‘Outstanding’ 6th form, Ofsted stated that students attainment is above the national average and SEN students are well catered for with personalised and effective provision. It also noted that teachers had an outstanding command of their subjects and that “the needs of all students are catered for” in class. You’ll be joining a supportive school with an inspiring leadership team and great students.
The school has great public transport links and is easily accessible by both over and underground train lines.
This school are looking for an SEN TA to support the schools SEN students both in and out of class.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Working 1-1 and in small groups with secondary students who have varying SEND and behavioural needs.
- Helping raise attainment across Reading, Writing, Maths and English
To be considered for this SEN TA role you must:
- Have a calm but firm and fair approach to behaviour management
- Have a passion for helping young people excel
- Have experience working with secondary school aged students with SEN
- Be HLTA qualified (Preferable)
