Year 3 Teacher
A Year 3 Teacher is required on a full-time basis from January to work at a 1-form entry Catholic Primary school in Waltham Forest.
A small and very well managed primary school in the north of Waltham Forest has a vacancy for a teacher with at least 2 years’ experience. The role is to start in January with a handover/transition period in December. Given the school is a 1-form entry, teachers who are able to roll their sleeves up and hit the ground running are strongly encouraged to apply. There is a full-time LSA to support the Year 3 class each morning and there are few behaviour issues across the school as a whole.
There is a high degree of support and expectations from the parents of children at the school therefore the Head Teacher is looking to appoint for this position in the coming month. This is a 2-term contract for the Spring and Summer terms. Applicants must hold QTS and relevant UK experience, ideally in Year 2, 3 or 4.
The school adopts a pastoral approach to teaching and learning where inclusion, social and emotional development and positive relationships are key. Accessible via the Overground train network, there is also onsite car parking available.
The Head Teacher is looking for a happy and creative teacher who ideally has at least 2 years’ teaching experience behind them. She is open to running Skype interviews for teachers who are based abroad. There are a number of international staff at the school from Australia, New Zealand and Ireland so applicants from overseas teachers are welcomed, providing you hold QTS and long-term teaching experience. Future VISA and school sponsorship is also on offer for the right overseas candidate. For UK-based teachers (ex-London), the Head Teacher is open to initial telephone calls to discuss the role and school in further detail prior to a formal interview.
This is a permanent contract directly with the school and will be commencing in January 2019, interviews to be held as soon as possible. There is a potential handover period from mid-December so applicants will need to have some availability prior to the January start date, this will be fully paid for.
