Job description

A Year 3 Teacher is required for a full time contract commencing in September at a successful Primary Academy in Westminster, central London.More details

The school is looking to appoint an experienced Year 3 Teacher for an ongoing contract to commence in September 2019.  Experience with EAL students is essential and the ideal candidate will have experience teaching in London classrooms within the Lower Key Stage 2 year groups. This is a good sized class with 25 students from a variety of cultural backgrounds, therefore a teacher with an engaging and inclusive approach would suit this role and school environment.

You will be supported with a highly experienced Teaching Assistant, as well as one Learning Support Assistant to guide one single child with SEND in your class. Given the school’s expansion plan, there is also scope for career progression in the new academic year, along with supportive SLT and ongoing CPD plans in place.

The school has recently moved onto a brand new site and boasts extensive outdoor space with a separate EYFS playground and outdoor learning area. This is a large school which offers additional lesson planning support/differentiation from an experienced SENCo/Inclusion team. There are designated spaces for Learning Mentor/Support rooms to assist with the provision for students’ various SEND and EAL needs. This is a typical, inner-London 2-form entry school that has been continually graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, most recently as 2016. There is parking available however the school is a very short walk from multiple tube or train stations.
