Year 6 Lead Teacher
An experienced Primary Teacher who is looking to take on a TLR role in September is required at a top academy in Waltham Forest.
A permanent vacancy for an experienced Year 6 Teacher has arisen at one of North London’s most popular academies. Given the school’s size, there is scope to take on a TLR opportunity as either Subject or Year Group Lead. A demonstrable background in raising student attainment in the core subject areas is an essential requirement for this position. Work and student samples will be required to present at the interview.
This role would suit a motivated and creative teacher who is empathetic to the culture and ethos of the school. Proficiency with differentiating work for EAL and SEND students is essential. All classes at the school have a dedicated TA.
Overseas trained teachers are encouraged to apply however, they must hold QTS and experience in London classrooms. The Head Teacher is happy to meet with interested teachers after school as he appreciates how busy this time of year can be (followed by a formal lesson observation and interview). This is a full-time permanent role to commence in September however an additional handover period in July (1 day) is required to meet with the incoming class.
This is a top school in North London with an inspiring and charismatic Head Teacher at the helm dedicated to upholding the vision of the school. This school boasts excellence in teaching and learning with high levels of support offered to new staff. Vacancies at this Academy are rare and you would be joining a well-resourced and highly effective Key Stage 2 Team. Pupils have a real thirst for knowledge and their behaviour and attitudes towards learning are outstanding. There is ample parking available on site however the school is within easy reach of major public transport networks (tube, rail and bus).
