Opogo Compliance Guide

Right to work

Why do I need to supply my Right to Work?

All employers in the UK have a responsibility to prevent illegal working. Here at Opogo, we do this by conducting simple right to work checks before we place someone into a school. This ensures an individual is not disqualified from carrying out the work in question by reason of their immigration status.

What documents can I submit?

British Candidates
Are required to provide either ONE of the following:
1) Current in date British passport with passport number showing
2) Full birth Certificate, National Insurance document and a driving licence

Non-UK Candidates
Are required to provide the following document types:
1) Current in date passport and unique share code

I don’t have a unique share code, how do I get one?

A unique ‘share code’ proves your immigration status.
The link below will redirect you to the gov.uk website, where you can get your unique share code;
